The children in our Reception and Nursery Classes have been very excited about the new residents in our garden. Mr and Mrs Mallard seem to like our garden so much that they have started to join us for an afternoon nap!
We have been really lucky this week, we had Chris and Rachel visit us from Tiny Tweeties. We enjoy singing all of their songs in Nursery and Reception and we absolutely loved singing and dancing with them today. Thank you for visiting us!
What an exciting morning we have had in nursery! When we came in we discovered ingredients to make our very own gingerbread man. We had to measure the ingredients carefully then mix them together, it was a little bit messy but we had so much fun. We baked them in our oven and luckily our gingerbread men didn’t come alive and run away. They were delicious!
The children in nursery have enjoyed learning all about the Diwali celebration this week. We enjoyed talking about the similarities and differences between the celebrations the children celebrate and those people who celebrate Diwali.
We also enjoyed making Diva lamps and gorgeous Rangoli patterns using coloured rice.
We really enjoyed having parents join us for our stay and play session. We enjoyed sharing our songs that we had been learning and sharing some of our favourite stories with our grown ups.
This week the nursery children have really enjoyed exploring how water travels. They have been pouring the water down the drain pipes and trying really hard to make sure that the water couldn’t escape! All the children had to work hard together as a team. We had lots of fun but we did get very wet!
Wow! What a fabulous week we have had in nursery with all our new friends. We have had fun exploring colours, singing, drawing and dancing! Well done everyone and I can’t wait for another fantastic week with you all.
Nursery really enjoyed our park visit today. All the children managed to walk very sensibly to the play park. The children loved going down the slide and playing in the sand. We then went on a very exciting train ride and finished our visit with a delicious ice cream.
During Garden school this week we have been checking all of our crops. We were very excited to see that our broad beans were ready to harvest. We made them into a delicious curry. All the children helped to chop the ingredients and we cooked it on our fire pit.
Nursery loved spending time with some animals from the farm this week. We learnt their names, what they eat and how to care for them. We then got to groom and take them for a walk.
