Year 2 showed amazing maths skills when sorting 2D shapes this week.
In Year 2 we loved learning about all of the amazing staff who make up the NHS. We discussed how fortunate we are to have this amazing service to look after us all.
Year 2 were lucky enough to meet local author John Walker Pattison, as part of their World Book Day celebrations. They really enjoyed listening to his exciting stories, before creating their own characters.
To introduce our new class book, Rosie Revere, Engineer, Y2 were set an engineering task. They had to design a strong bridge, in teams. Take a look at their builds and you will see why we were all so impressed!
In history we are learning about fantastic firsts. Yesterday, Y2 discovered that South Shields is home to the designers of the first lifeboat: William Wouldhave and Henry Greathead. We can’t wait to learn about more fantastic firsts next week!
