To bring our unit based around animation to an end, the class were challenged to create their final stop-motion video after collaboratively planning it over the last two lessons. All groups used an array of materials to film their videos, with one group able to add sound effects to their work.
Check out their hard work below!
As part of our art unit, Year Five were tasked with creating their own 3D art installations, using everyday materials. They were encouraged to use outside-the-box thinking to rotate and adapt materials in an effort to create eye-catching and thought evoking displays.
As you can see, their imaginations ran wild!
Year 4 are really enjoying their art lessons. Here we are trying out different painting techniques to bring our objects to life.
Year 4 have been learning how to shade and tint colours. We looked at works of art by Paul Cezanne and added black to shade and white to tint.
Year 4 have been hard at work creating their own stamps and using them to create their own printed fabric. Here are some of our designs.
We have been learning about the work of Max Ernst, who used different textures and combined them to make distinctive artwork.
Children then searched for different textures in the room to use in their shading, and then used a mixture of ripping and cutting to create their texture pictures.
Year 4 have begun their art and design lessons and are learning how to change tone and perspective. Here we are creating our own pieces of art using the techniques we learnt to create light and dark.
Year 4 have been finishing our Free School Meals Campaign with Pip. We completed filming today. We tried a few different ways to film and can’t wait to see the finished video.
