This week children in Y3 took part in a multisport festival with a number of other schools at Temple Park Centre. The class was split into 2 teams and completed different team and skill games, such as relay races, dribbling skills and a treasure hunt.
The children really enjoyed their active morning!
We are pleased to announce that our A team came 1st in the competition and our B team came 3rd! A fantastic achievement!
This week, children in Year 3 have been learning to improve their dodgeball skills by taking part in a school wide dodgeball challenge.
Children were organised into house teams before practicing their throwing and aiming skills. Children then had to cross the hall and dodge balls being thrown by their opponents, making use of various safe zones as well as using team tactics to score the most points.
Turtles and Dolphins were the joint winners with a combined score of 21 points!
This week, children from Y5 & 6 have been selected by their teachers to become part of the School Sport Organising Crew. They took part in a special launch event, building on their team building and problem solving skills.
We look forward to seeing them in action supporting school sport this year.

Spent time practicing their rolling and catching skills before enjoying team games. The children enjoyed this active afternoon!
As part of our extra curricular offer at school, Year Five took part in a dancing workshop where they explored many different dance types and timings. They did an amazing job and there are clearly some future dance stars in the class!
This week, children took part in their sports day. Children showed great team work and determination to complete activities like the sack race, obstacle course and three-legged race. Children then watched and cheers as their teammates took part in elite sprint races.

Year 4 had a brilliant time at Sports Day. Here we are enjoying the races in the sunshine.
Year 4 had a great time taking part in the Outdoor Adventurous Activities Festival in South Marine Park. We had to navigate a specially designed course around South Marine Park using a specially designed map. A series of problem solving challenges were set around the park and we had to look for markers and complete different activities using the skills we have been learning during our PE lessons.
This week, children from KS2 have been learning to play cricket in sessions run by Young Asian Voices. Children from Y3,4,5 and 6 took part in a range of bowling fielding and batting activities. Parents were invited to spectate as well as join in the fun!
