At midday we all come together to share a meal with our friends.  It is a social time where we chat, laugh and enjoy some good food.

We encourage children to have a school lunch because we provide tasty meals which are healthy and great value.  There is always a great choice of main courses and desserts.  Children can visit our tasty salad bar to fill up on nutritious vegetables to help them to achieve their all important five-a-day.

We also celebrate special events such as Chinese New Year and St Patrick’s Day by having special meals and decorating the hall.

If children wish to bring a packed lunch to school we ask parents and carers to ensure they a healthy and well balanced.  See below for some examples of healthy options for packed lunches.

Possible foods to include:

  • Sandwiches / wraps filled with meat, fish or cheese and lots of crunchy vegetables
  • Fresh or dried fruit
  • Vegetables such as carrot or cucumber sticks
  • Yoghurt
  • A portion of cheese
  • Pasta
  • Salad box
