As part of the geography topic “Fantastic Forests”, Year 6 visited Sunderland’s Winter Gardens to learn more about rainforests. They took part in a workshop which helped them understand how important forests are to the environment. Once they had a look around the museum, they then went into Mowbray Park to compare the different vegetation and wild life that exists in tropical forests and British woodlands. A trip to the park was also included!!
